Two 麻豆传媒 students, Altynai Jusupova and Akyl Callaghan, recently represented Kyrgyzstan as the duet "ALAN" in the international "Baltic Stage" festival.

Creating the opportunity for talented artists to attract attention to themselves and to exchange of creative ideas is one of the aims of the festival.

About 600 persons applied to compete in various categories and age groups, with only twenty-seven contestants reaching the final stage of the competition in the 鈥淰ocal鈥 category. Winners of first, second, and third places were determined in the final stage by six members of an international jury.

First place, and the honor of 鈥淕olden Laureate鈥 of the competition, was awarded to 鈥淎LAN鈥 in recognition of the group's immense talent.听 Altynai Jusupova and Akyl Callaghan performed two songs 鈥 The Prayer and Esimde (鈥溞佇感夹葱碘) - during their two competition days. They made a strong impression not only on the audience and jury, but on all the other contestants and their instructors as well. Many in attendance said that is was the first time they'd heard such an outstanding performance. Immediately after their performance, 鈥淎LAN鈥 received an invitation to a September 2015 international competition in Kyiv (Ukraine).
