On November 2, 2016 Klaus Bobich, a lawyer from Germany, gave a lecture entitled "Constitutional rights and their implementation/realization in the German legal system"Ìýat the Â鶹´«Ã½ (Â鶹´«Ã½). Â鶹´«Ã½, International University of Central Asia, and other university students came out to listen to professor Bobich’s lecture. Moreover, Dr. Andrea Schmitz and Chinara Iskakova, representatives of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Foundation in Kyrgyzstan, were at the lecture to meet and talk with students.
The lecture covered the following issues:
The proceeding portion of the lecture was dedicated to reviewing how one files complaints with the Constitutional Court, which is the main juridical instrument for the resolution of legal matters. Attention was also paid to the constitutional procedural rights that are included in the rights of legal defense. The constitutional and legal systems of Germany and Kyrgyzstan are totally different, which gave the lecturer, guests and students the opportunity to ask each other questions and discuss the differences and similarities of the two systems.
