Fatima double majored in Human rights and Anthropology and graduated in 2019. She was a very active student and a fierce advocate for human and women’s rights. Upon graduation, she returned to Afghanistan where she worked with the Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission. Tragically, she was murdered by a car bomb in Kabul on June 27, 2020 while on her way to work. Fatima’s bright but brief life is never to be forgotten. The documentary portrays her friends, professors, and family members who share their memories of Fatima, her thoughts and beliefs. “Fatima (Natasha) Khalil, a life, never to be forgotten”, directed by: Zarlasht Sarmast / zarsarmast@gmail.com
