”I think volunteers of ”You are not alone” did a good job on Orientation Week. After the completion of a two-week orientation program, I can firmly say that I`ve gained great support from organizers and even made new friends!”, shared Erika Abdraeva, SOC.
Every year 鶹ý welcomes its freshmen by organizing an Orientation Program. This year from August 22 to September 2, first-year students were invited to a number of events held on campus. The Orientation Week is designed to support students´ adaptation to campus life. Students had the opportunity to meet their lecturers and professors, elder peers and explore the campus sites. Since the beginning of Orientation Week 2022, we have collected some of freshmens´ impressions here:
”The energy and the whole atmosphere of the community is the best part of the Orientation. I could not choose one single flashback to highlight, as the whole program was exciting and fun! ”, says Ilia Proshin, ECO.
”I believe the orientation is very important to every student because it introduces us to the university in the best possible way. Now we became famiiar with the environment, know what to expect, how to manage both our studies and extracurricular activities”, answered Rustam Temiraliev, SFW.
”The first thing that comes to my mind was the ”Wow-effect” that I felt. Who could have imagined that washing windows can be so fun and unifying”, explained Ainazik Janyshbekova, PSY.
”When I heard about the Orientation from friends, I doubted it could be so fun and joyful. Once I experienced it by my own, all my doubts were swept away”, Aijana Zairbekova, PSY.
”鶹ý feels a lot more different than what I expected it to be. It’s so surprising how intense the life is in this seemingly small building. I wish to explore every possible corner of this university and I’m looking forward to all the upcoming opportunities over the time” - Nico Achkasov, ECO
“Studying at 鶹ý is very different from studies at school. Every minute of the lessons was interesting. I became curious. I can’t wait to start my classes and emerge into the student life” - Ademi Avaskanova, LAS
The university is delighted to welcome the Class of 2026 and wishes all the best to our students in the upcoming years!
