Erasmus+ International Staff Training Week at University of Marburg, Germany

Indira Sagynova, Senior Coordinator for Afghan Students at the International Students Office, and Dr. Görkem Atsungur, Head of Social Sciences, and Chair of the International and Comparative Politics Department, participated in the Erasmus+ Mobility program at Phillips University in Germany on March 19-25, 2023.Ìý

During the training week, Indira and Görkem, first of all, represented Â鶹´«Ã½ and gave poster presentations on the missions and goals of Â鶹´«Ã½, institutional structure, and the composition of faculty and students body to more than forty participants from twenty-two Erasmus+ partner institutions in a wide range of geographic locations, including Western Balkans, Middle East and Africa, South East Asia, and Central Asia. Indira and Görkem had the opportunity to discuss the impact of Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility on participating and receiving institutions, quality management in Erasmus+ projects, and digital, inclusive, flexible mobility opportunities - the New Erasmus+ Generation (2021-2027).Ìý

Indira and Görkem, furthermore, visited the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy at the Phillips University Marburg and met professors from the PoliticalScience Department. They also visited the Center for Conflict Studies (Zentrum für Konfliktforschung) for future collaborations and exchange opportunities for faculty and students. Last but not least, they visited student dormitories, and self-study language centers.Ìý

During the training program, Indira and Görkem worked together on internationalization of Â鶹´«Ã½, successfully establishing close networks with several institutions all around the world for future partnerships and collaboration, and promoting ‘’Open Society University Network’’ mission and the structure. Indira and Görkem will continue to work on projects about digital, inclusive, and blended mobility programs, including research internship opportunities at Â鶹´«Ã½.Ìý
