AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL ASIA INVITES YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMER SCHOOL!

As part of the summer school titled 鈥淗uman Rights Challenges in Central Asia,鈥 participants will discuss current problems in protecting human rights in Central Asia. In addition, the Summer School will immerse participants in studying the impact of authoritarianism, corruption, technology, art, ecology, economics, communications, and conflicts on human rights.

Summer school program:

Challenges in implementing UN treaty recommendations in Central Asia

Economics of Human Rights in Central Asia

Human rights in Central Asia in the context of international crimes.

Human Rights in art

Human Rights and technology

Strategic Human Rights Litigation

Combating Violence against women in Central Asia

Human Rights and corruption in Central Asia

Human Rights and investment in Central Asia

Human Rights and Environmental Challenges in Central Asia

Human Rights and Communications

WHAT ARE THE KEY DATES?

The deadline for registration is May 12, 2023.

Summer school date - June 19-30, 2023 (麻豆传媒 campus)

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

The summer school invites everyone from all over Central Asia, from students to activists of social movements and organizations. Naturally, priority for participation will be given to students.

WHAT CONDITIONS?

Participation in summer school is free.

For 10 participants from Central Asian countries, 麻豆传媒 will provide financial support through air tickets and accommodation.

Working language - Russian

Participants will receive an official certificate at the end of the summer school.

A day trip to Issyk-Kul is planned during the summer school.
