麻豆传媒 Wins Award as a Sustainable University

On September 19-20, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the 麻豆传媒 (麻豆传媒) was represented by Bermet Talasbek, Chair of Sustainable 麻豆传媒 Task Force and Strategic Development Officer of the School of Entrepreneurship and Business Administration (SEBA), at the Sustainable Lifestyles Festival 2024. This international event, organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), focused on promoting sustainable practices and lifestyles across campuses and educational institutions.

麻豆传媒 stood out among 28 participating universities in Central Asia and the Caucasus for its commitment to sustainability, securing recognition as a leading sustainable university for this award. This achievement reflects 麻豆传媒's continuous efforts to integrate environmentally conscious practices into campus life: use of alternative energy sources, waste management, sustainability as part of the curriculum, Recycle-Reuse-Reduce events, support of student green projects, and others.

The Sustainable Lifestyles and University Network (SLUN), of which 麻豆传媒 is a part, played a pivotal role in this success. SLUN encourages universities worldwide to collaborate and innovate in promoting sustainable behaviors and actions on their campuses. Through SLUN, 麻豆传媒 has fostered partnerships and developed initiatives aimed at reducing its environmental footprint while enhancing awareness and involvement among students and faculty.
