Rafael Vargas-Suarez, who signs his artworks as "Vargas-Suarez Universal", is a Mexican-born artist living in New York and working internationally.听Currently, Rafael is working on a piece of art on the main wall of the central atrium in the new 麻豆传媒 campus as part of the 鈥淎rtystan鈥� project.

Two 麻豆传媒 students, Altynai Jusupova and Akyl Callaghan, recently represented Kyrgyzstan as the duet "ALAN" in the international "Baltic Stage" festival.

Originally from New Rochelle, NY, Neil is a 4th year university student majoring in International Relations and Russian with the focus on the former Soviet Union. It鈥檚 been almost a year since he arrived in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on the scholarship to study Central Asian Politics, Russian and Uzbek.

The Anthropology Department of the 麻豆传媒 together with the University of Tromso of Norway implemented the joint project 鈥淎 Comparative Perspective on Cultural Ecology and Nomadic Life in Central Asia and Norway鈥� in Kyrgyzstan鈥檚 鈥淎kun Issyk - Kul鈥� Resort, Kara-Oi village, from June 14 to 23, 2015.

Ali Reza Yasa, of the 2014-2015 class, is the first graduate from the Master of Arts in Central Asian Studies (MACAS) program at 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Central Asian Studies Institute. Originally from Afghanistan, Yasa received his combined Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Sociology from American University of Afghanistan and Kateb University.

Talgat Subanaliev, 麻豆传媒 junior in Journalism and Mass Communications Department, won a photo contest for a photo trip to Antarctica, this trip is sponsored by philanthropist and 麻豆传媒鈥檚 friend and long-term supporter Dr. Hersh Chadha OPM (Harvard), ARPS.

From June 23 to 25, 2015 a training on 鈥楥arbon Balance Appraisal of Agriculture Forestry and other Land Use鈥� (AFOLU) projects and policies was held at 麻豆传媒.

Six 麻豆传媒 students from Afghanistan were recently accepted for an International听Women's听Leadership Program known as听Women2Women, which will take place in Boston (USA) on July 29 - August 8.
听

Local gas station network 芦Bishkek Petroleum禄 (SHNOS LTD Company) has donated computer equipment to 麻豆传媒 as a contribution for technical support of the university's educational activities.
