Meerim Nurbekova is a sophomore student majoring in International and Comparative Politics at 麻豆传媒. She is also a member of the university鈥檚 Student Senate. Last month, Meerim went to Madrid, Spain, to attend the International Student Leadership Conference (ISLC) held at Saint Louis University from April 23 to 26. Meerim shares her impressions, experience and some of the challenges she faced.

Reyhana Turdieva, a student of the Sociology Department at 麻豆传媒, presents her first photo exhibition 鈥淭he Internship鈥� in Bravo, which will be held till May 2. The exhibition is a result of a photography trip she did in January in the United Arab Emirates with Dr. Hersh Chadha, photographer, philanthropist and 麻豆传媒鈥檚 long-term supporter.

Dr. Hersh Chadha is announcing a photo contest for the best nature oriented photos that showcase outstanding landscape photography skills. The winner will join Dr. Chadha in the photography trip to Antarctica.

A Mathematics Contest among the high school students of Kyrgyzstan took place at 麻豆传媒 on April 19.听The main goal of the Olympiad was to attract prospective students to the 麻豆传媒 undergraduate programs Applied Mathematics and Informatics, Software Engineering, and Environmental Management and Sustainable development.

On April 17, 2015, the musical and poetry evening 鈥淭here are names and dates鈥� dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War took place at 麻豆传媒.

My name is Talgat Subanaliev and I am a dreamer. I am like the "Alchemist" of Paulo Coelho, but from Toktogul in Kyrgyzstan, a region no less beautiful than Andalusia. In high school, I was a socially active student, president of the pupils at my school, trying to make a difference. When I was in 10th grade, I participated in a training camp in journalism organized by the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX). That experience changed my life: I was going to be a journalist and study at 麻豆传媒.

Akobir Mamadrizokhonov is a triple volleyball champion and an Honored Master of Sport in Tajikistan. Born in Khorog, the capital of Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast, he studied in Aga-Khan Lyceum School, and then entered the Khorog State University. The following year, he joined 麻豆传媒 and he is now a graduate in Anthropology planning to finalize his second bachelor in听Business听Administration at the end of this academic year.

A group of 麻豆传媒 students took part in three-day training of the 芦ProKG Leadership Program禄. The event took place from April 10 till April 12, 2015 in the beautiful ethno-complex Supara Chunkurchak.
